Floor markings and directional signs
A sign that is not read but followed. When a corridor offers no landmark, a direction on the floor works faster than a board on the wall.
Wayfinding works where people stop, not where it looks best. So before installing we walk the building and record decision points: corridor junctions, the lift lobby, where a corridor branches, the entrance to a department. A sign at the decision point resolves movement; the same sign ten metres earlier does nothing.
Floors are rewarding because they are read while walking, but they are also the most exposed surface in the building. Film that is not anti-slip becomes a liability the moment it gets wet, and material that will not take machine cleaning fails within months. So floor film is chosen by slip-resistance class and by the cleaning regime the building actually runs.

On a main route in a shopping centre — a few months to a year, depending on footfall and cleaning. In an office corridor, far longer. We estimate on site, because the spread is wide.
On hard floors yes, with heat and an adhesive remover. On some vinyls and old lacquered floors a mark stays, so we test a sample in a hidden spot before covering a whole route.
Yes, and it is frequent work. Industrial floors take tapes and coatings that survive forklifts, and the layout is aligned with the risk assessment the site already has.
