Engraved plates
A company plate, an entrance sign, a marking meant to last without maintenance. Engraving does not fade or peel — but it also does not change.
Engraving is chosen when a sign has to survive years without any maintenance: company plates at entrances, practice signs, institutional lettering. The letter is cut into the material, so there is no layer to peel — only the fill changes, and that is renewed without replacing the plate.
Material follows position. Brass and stainless take the outdoors and patinate in their own way; aluminium is lighter and cheaper but wants a more careful edge finish; acrylic and two-layer sheet are for interiors, where an exact colour and a calm surface matter. For external plates we always assume the sign gets washed and touched.

Frequently asked questions
The lettering cannot — that is why changing content goes on a carrier with an insert. Engraving is for what stays the same: a company name, a number, a room label.
It does, and that is a property, not a fault. Where it should stay bright, a protective lacquer plus regular care is specified; where it should age well, it is left bare.
A single plate usually a few working days; a series depends on quantity and material. The lead time is quoted once the artwork is agreed.
